The Graphic Canon Volume 1: From The Epic of Gilgamesh to Shakespeare to
Dangerous Liaisons (Seven Stories Press) (phew) comes out today! One of my
contributions, Outlaws of the Water Margin, is in this volume. I got my contributor’s
copy last week, and it looks really good – there’s a great diversity of styles that goes
well with the breadth of source material.
I’ll be attending a book launch / signing event at the Rubin Museum of Art tomorrow
(May 23). Come by if you’re in the neighborhood!
(Child included for scale.)
Judy, me, Matt, and Zak… and Hana!
Hana spent some time handing out invitations…
…and entertaining the guests.
Yuka looking stylish. I couldn’t have finished the paintings without her help –
thanks, nya~ ( > ε < *)
Kiki and Zak.
Hana in the Screening Room… she’s actually standing in front of the audience, looking back at them ( ￣◇￣ ;; )

Thanksgiving feast, with a Chinese twist – turkey with hoisin sauce, stuffing with
Chinese sausages, sticky rice, stir-fried noodles… and apple pie!
My dear friend and Partyka cohort Matt Wiegle got married today to the wonderful
Sally Madden – congrats, you guys! It was a lovely ceremony, at the Magic Gardens
Partyka and friends at the Renegade Craft Fair! Saturday ranged from damp/misty to downright soggy, but a
surprising number of people were walking about.
Another handsome display. Not pictured: the ever-growing lake infiltrating from behind the booth, under the
table of prints.
Sally Madden was hard at work all day doing “Portraits in 60 Seconds”.
It was a crowd pleaser!
Jokes were told.
